22 AUTUMN 2026 For three decades, Brooklyn-based artist and designer Darcy Miro has worked across sculpture, jewelry and architectural-scale metalwork. With her recent works in ceramics and furniture, Miro set off to document the small, chaotic rituals of ordinary life. “I observe everything in my daily life,” explains Miro. “The water drips on the edge of the sink, the arrangements of leaves on the sidewalk. The controlled or random details are critical.” This obsession with the ordinary transforms the domestic into works of what Miro calls “matriarchal storytelling” — vibrant, sculptural pieces for daily use that reflect and celebrate the frenzy of mundanity and motherhood. darcymiro.com Darcy Miro Installation shot by Max Burkhalter Photo by Lindsay Morris Open during Summer 2026 at JK Art & Design Projects, Darcy’s World was presented entirely on Miro’s terms.
