In the design of her own kitchen, Clara Jung of Banner Day Interiors was inspired by her daughter’s play kitchen, which featured delightful yellow walls. So that the beautiful, butter-yellow walls would not read too traditional, she added deeply veined marble countertops and backsplash, white walls, a mimimalist range hood, and furniture and fl ooring in honey to dark fi nishes. Instead of an island, she opted for a copious farmhouse table with a modern silhouette.
